What is Lip Line and Blush?
Lip blushing is Permanent Makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. Filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and give the illusion of fuller lips
How long does Lip Line and Blush last?
Depending on lifestyle factors, lip tattooing can last anywhere from 1-3 years. The pigment will fade naturally and lighten over this time.
We are dealing with an area that is used a lot therefore you will need to come back for a top up every 12 months, after your first few top ups you will be able to come less frequently
Does Lip Line & Blush hurt?
We apply topical numbing cream before & during the treatment which helps reduce any discomfort during the treatment, we also advise the best time to come is after your period, not before or during as the skin is too sensitive. You will wake up and not need to apply lipstick, for those makeup free days you will feel great long term so totally worth any temporary discomfort some may feel.
What can I expect from my Lip Line & Blush appointment?
We will go over colours, shape, definition and any asymmetry that you may be concerned about.
If your natural lip colour is dark then we will need to neutralise the lips with an orange at least twice before any other colours are applied.
The lips will be numbed then the lip line will be carried out, next I will start blushing around 50 - 75% of the lip. Treatments can take up to 3 hours.
I always advice to go for a darker or brighter colour as the healed results will be much better, once the service is complete your lips will be swollen and very bright / dark, this is completely normal and patience is key to this treatment being a success
How do I prepare before and after my procedure?
If you suffer with cold sores you must let us know a week prior to your appointment, no exercise 48 hours before or after your treatment, you want to avoid sweating at all costs, no alcohol, ibuprofen or blood thinning medications, you will be given an ointment that will need to be applied to the area until the ointment is finished, you must not wear makeup on or around the area until it is fully healed
