What's the difference between Mink & Cashmere Extensions?
Mink give a very natural finish although the material is ever so slightly firmer whilst Cashmere gives you a darker, fuller finish, the Cashmere is a softer material and does tend to last a bit longer, it really comes down to natural lash health and personal preference - think of Mink like a tube and think of Cashmere like the tube has been flattened, hence why it looks fuller but is in fact lighter
How long do eyelash extensions last?
2-3 weeks if you would like to maintain a full look or if you are just having them for a special occasion, you can let them naturally fall out with your natural lash cycle which is roughly 6 - 9 weeks
Do eyelash extensions ruin your eyelashes?
Your lashes will become damaged if they are not applied correctly, they need to be individually placed, the right length and weight need to be applied according to the health of your natural lashes, you also should not pick or pull off your extensions and they need to be cleaned at the root
What are some red flags to look out for when choosing an Eyelash Technician?
How long does the treatment take? Anything less than 2 hours and I would avoid going, look at before and after pictures, focus on the root, do the lashes look nice and clean or does it look thick and black? If it's the latter I would avoid going, also if the eyes look red in every single picture I would not go. Check out their reviews, there should be a consistent theme, look out for buzz words repeating in reviews, this sometimes indicates that the reviews are fake
Going to a newly qualified Lash Artist?
Give new lash artists a chance, but make sure they are trained properly, expect some fall out, don't expect 100% coverage, you'd rather them be applied properly with less coverage than full coverage and glued together, don't expect them to be as good as someone who has been doing it for years and please do not slate them, lash extensions is a very very hard treatment and newbies will lower their prices for this very reason! If the artist asks for feedback, give it with kindness :)
