Elemis & Dermalogica Facials - Uxbridge London Beauty Treatment Clinic
What is Elemis & Dermalogica?
How do I maintain my skin in between facials?
How do I know so much about these products?
Elemis & Dermalogica are luxury result led products that are backed by science, I use a mixture of both these outstanding products in my facials to give the best results, Elemis has wonderful scents that can melt your stresses away, it also has some very powerful ingredients in their products to help with anti aging. Padina Pavonica is an essential algae that was found laying on an old boat, when they looked the wood on the boat had rotted away, apart from where the algae was resting, this ingredient has been through many clinical trials and has proven to significantly reduces the signs of aging. Dermalogica provides professional strength products which help melt away makeup, pollution, dirt and excess dead skin, they also have very good products for acne and oily skin
I trained at college with Dermalogica, I have been to Dermalogica training shows and have a certificate in product knowledge and application. I trained with Elemis & worked in the British Airways VIP lounge where I carried out facials & massages as an Elemis Therapist, we had 6 weeks of intense training on treatments and product knowledge
What's included in the facials?
Firstly I will assess your face, we will go over your main concerns, I will then prescribe products specialised for your individual needs, we start by removing your makeup with a pre cleanser, then I will use a second cleanser, exfoliator, steam, extractions where needed, neck and face massage, this helps bring fresh blood to the surface, mask, a full body press and finally eye cream and moisturiser, you will be offered a warm neck roll and heated bed if the weather is cold, you will have a choice of essential oils to inhale all completed with warm mitts and relaxing music
When is the best time to get a facial?
The optimal time to get a facial is when you're about to go home, your skin will be nice, clean and ready to repair whilst you sleep
I recommend cleansing, toning and moisturising in the morning AND in the evening, your evening routine is very important as this is when your skin repairs itself. Add an exfoliant and mask twice a week. My top tip is to use your products for 1 whole minute with minimal pressure, the product should be doing all the work, remove GENTLY with a warm mitt / flannel, you may apply slight pressure around the nose area as there often seems to be more dead skin in this area, do not reuse mitts / flannels, you should invest and purchase enough for the whole week - if at any point especially during your monthly cycle you start to get sensitive skin I would reduce the amount of moisturiser being used at night and let the skin dry out a little, this will in fact help it heal
Includes double cleanse, exfoliation, face massage, face steam, extraction, mask, neck, shoulder, chest, upper arm massage, moisturiser, head to toe body press
